A/B Test Campaigns

A/B tests are basically split tests which allow you to compare 2 versions of something to learn which is more effective. These tests help you find out what happens when you change one thing in a situation where only that one thing changes.
Kapitalwise provides A/B Testing Campaigns to test different versions of a single email to see how small changes can have an impact on customer engagement. You can choose what you want to test, like the subject line or content design, and find out what works and what doesn't work for your contacts.
Term Definition
Variation The element of your campaign that you want to test. You can test one of the three variations: subject, design and schedule.
Percentage This is the test percentage i.e percentage of your audience that will receive the test variations. Example - If you select 20%, then 10% of your audience will receive campaign variation A, another 10% of your audience will receive Campaign variation B and the remaining 80% of your audience will receive the winning campaign variation.
Note 1. We require that you test with at least 10% of your audience for any variation of A/B test, so the slider will not go below 10%. Slider goes upto a maximum of 40%.
Note 2. If you're testing Schedule variation, the slider is frozen at 100% that means you'll always send to 100% of the contacts in your chosen audience.
Deciding Parameter This is the criteria to decide the winning campaign variation. You can choose between the three options: “Open”, “Click” and “Open & Click”.
Wait Time The period of time we need to wait after the test campaign variations are sent out and we compare the results to find out the winner variation.
