Sales

Kapitalwise, sales tools include everything you need for improving sales productivity and optimization on a single platform. It facilitates lead generation, tracking, easy-to-use sales automation, and integration with the marketing platform, allowing you to track the leads and prospects from the first touch to the conversion.

Configure your Sales Objects

Before starting using Kapitalwise Sales features, you have to configure your sales Pipeline and the Deal Object. These configuration settings are available under the Settings menu. If you are not an admin user, please reach out to your Kapitalwise admin, as these settings are accessible only for admin users.

Pipeline

A sales pipeline is a visualization of how the leads are progressing through different stages in a purchasing process. Leads in the sales pipeline move through different stages before successful conversion. Read more about how to configure your Pipeline and Pipeline Stages on the Settings page.

Create your first Deal

Follow these steps to create a Deal:
  1. Click on the Sales menu.
  2. Click on the Deals sub-menu.
  3. Click on Create Deal on the top right.
  4. Name: Enter a Deal name in the Name field.
  5. Pipeline: Select the Pipeline to which the Deal should be assigned.
  6. Stage: Select the Deal stage.
  7. Amount: Provide the expected deal amount.
  8. Close Date: Select the expected Deal close date.
  9. Assignee: Select the user to who the task is assigned.
  10. Contacts: Select the Contact to which you would want this Task to be associated.
  11. Notes: Enter details about the Deal.
  12. Click Create button to create the Deal.

How to provide additional Deal properties

To add your organization-specific Deal properties:
  1. Click on the Details link on the right-most column of the newly created Deals row.
  2. The Deal will be opened in Edit mode.
  3. Provide the additional Deal properties or modify existing values.
  4. Click Save.

View and edit Deals and associated Tasks

  1. Click on the Deals link under the Sales menu.
  2. All the Deals under your Organization are listed in the table.
  3. Click on the Details link on the right-most column of the newly created Deals row.
  4. The Deal will be opened in Edit mode.
  5. Make changes to the Deals as needed.
  6. Click Save.
  7. To mark a Deal-task as completed, click the check mark on the left-most column of the Task row on the right side of the Deal details.

Tasks

Follow these steps to create a Task:
  1. Click on the Sales menu.
  2. Click on the Tasks sub-menu.
  3. Click on Create Task on the top right.
  4. Task Title: Enter a task name in the Title field.
  5. Assignee: Select the user to who the task is assigned.
  6. Due Date: Select the date and time the task is due.
  7. Association: Select the Contact/Deal to which you would want this Task to be associated and select the object from the drop-down
  8. Reminder: Click the dropdown menu to select when an email reminder should be sent to the task Assignee.
  9. Notes: Enter details about your task.
  10. Click Create button to create the Task.

View and complete Tasks

Tasks are organized based on the completion status. To view and make Tasks as completed:
  1. Click on the Tasks link under the Sales menu.
  2. All the Tasks under your Organization are listed in the table.
  3. To select a task assigned to a specific user, select the user from the Assignee drop-down.
  4. To select Task based on completion status, select the desired tab on the top of the table (Due Today, Overdue, or Completed).
  5. To mark a Task as completed, click the check mark on the left-most column of the Task row.

Notes

Notes are a great way to update and log updates and important information on a Contact. You can create as many Notes on a Contact. Notes can be created on a Deal or a Task, which is part of the object creation itself.
Follow these steps to create a Note on a Contact:
  1. Click the Contacts menu.
  2. Click All Contacts.
  3. You can use the Search bar to search a contact by First Name, Last Name, and Email.
  4. Use the Filter by Tags dropdown to filter out the contacts tagged with the selected tag.
  5. Use the pagination tools at the bottom of the page to navigate through your contacts.
  6. Click on the Details link present on the right side of each row.
  7. Select the Notes tab on the profile page.
  8. Click Create Note button on the top right.
  9. Enter the details and click Save.
